Christofle Gallia Silver plated Jardiniere / table centre piece. Model 4847

This small Jardiniere/ table centre piece was made by Orfevrerie Gallia - founded by Christofle at the end of the 19th century Gallia was a brand name given to a copper and tin alloy, and was used by Christofle as a base material It was produced in the Alfenide factory. The mark to the base shows the manufacture de l'Alfenide mark for silver plating used by Christofle between 1908 and 1929 ( the head of a goat in a rhombus in a hatched rectangle) , the christofle Gallia Cockeral and a model number 4847 The design is identical on both sides of the piece and features a pair of birds, one appears to be feeding its young It is tarnished and has unfortunately sustained some damage to its surround. - please see final photos.
