Galvanized Lessiveuse - early washing "machine"

A galvanized steel Lessiveuse Theses primitive washing machineswas used for boiling/blanching domestic washing. First patented in France in 1856, and commercialised in 1870. Originally there would of been a perforated tray and central column within the bucket but these are missing It does however have its original label ( torn) and Handled lid Some marks, indendations, but still solid; Could be used to display plants etc Height 37cm to lid Weight approx 3.2 kilos
