This antique Inhaler was sold by S. Maw Son & Sons, London. Circa 1900. Used for respiratory illnesses the inhaler was filled with hot water, infusions sometimes added, and the vapour then inhaled Such inhalers were popular from the second half on the 19th century. This model is English but was found in France
White glazed earthenware with a blue vein pattern. There is transfer printed text, to the front , the product name and manufacturers details with instructions for use printed on the rear
This one has its original cork stopper, fitted with one glass tube ,the cork is damaged ( please see photos)
The inhaler itself is in good condition, some crazing to the glaze but no cracks or chips
